African bishops at the pope Francis's synod about the family

Abstract
At the synod in 2015, African bishops, Polish bishops alongside, played a very important role, trying to free the discussions from the ideological postulates of liberal Western European circles and direct them towards the real pastoral discernment. The article attempts to present the contribution of African bishops, based on press publications that appeared in Rome during the synod and the statements of African bishops in the synod hall – recorded in the notes of the chairman of the Polish Episcopal Conference, whom the author accompanied as a theological expert – which concerned the reality of the modern world, the truth about marriage and family and pastoral work in the service of this truth.
